Cramlington Community
Tennis Programme began soon after the
official opening of the Sporting Club of Cramlington.
With the assistance of Blyth Valley Arts and
Leisure Trust (BVAL), the Northumberland division of
the Lawn Tennis Association (L.T.A.) and the commitment
of Phil Barron, L.T.A. Tennis Coach, the programme
has gone from strength to strength. Through the continuous
support from the volunteers, players and parents,
a first-rate tennis facility has been established in this
prestigious town. Due to the Programme's rapid growth, the
CCTP became independent of BVAL in April 2006 and is now responsible for
all its own financial and administrative functions.
The
CCTP uses the facilities located at both Alexandra
Park and the Sporting Club of Cramlington.
Alexandra Park is located opposite the High School, where we have the use of 4 macadam courts and access to the communal pavillion. The Sporting Club is located within the grounds of Cramlington Community High School (click here to connect to the High School website), this state-of-the-art sporting facility opened during the summer of 2003.
